An NFL quarterback drafted in the first round can afford to live swell, obviously. Now that Matt and Kelly Stafford prepare for his trade by putting their mansion on the market, gawkers not part of the couple's social set can see what party guests peep.

The star player, whose 2017 contract with the Detroit Lions totals $135,000,000 over five years, lives alongside Upper Long Lake in Bloomfield Hills with his wife and their four young daughters.

A basement rec room of our dreams

Their 7,720-square-foot home on 1.3 acres was listed Monday at $6.5 million by the Max Broock agency in Birmingham. Built in 1980, it has five bedrooms, five full bathrooms, two half-baths, a pool, spa, basketball half-court, glass elevator, wine room, finished basement, boat dock and three-car garage. Walk-in closets look like haberdashery shops.

Consider this a chance to see the decor, admire the bravery of white upholstery with four children, wonder about the staff size and imagine the housekeeping and maintenance tabs.

Listing agent Jeff Barker covers the zone with 56 interior and exterior photos at his shop's site, including these 12:
