"Welcome home bro," barber Al Wilson (right) says with these on Facebook and Instagram.

A politically connected person tells Deadline Detroit that Kwame Kilpatrick was spotted in the city Friday.

Sure enough, barber Al Wilson posts these photos of the newly sprung former mayor getting a trim at Cut It Out International on East Jefferson Avenue at Chene. "Welcome home bro," Wilson posts on Facebook and Instagram.

Kilpatrick, 50, was released from prison last week via a commutaton by President Trump on the last night of his presidency. He served seven years of his 28-year sentence.

Michigan law prevents Kilpatrick from running for local or state office, though he could run for Congress.

Kilpatrick wouldn't be the first big-city mayor to make a political comeback after prison. D.C. Mayor Marion Barry served six months for a drug conviction in the early 1990s, only to get re-elected as mayor in 1994.
