Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel can be a kidder Her humor can also be a little biting.
In 2018, she said in a campaign commercial: "When you’re choosing Michigan’s next attorney general, ask yourself this: Who can you trust most not to show you their penis in a professional setting?"
On Friday, she tweeted an amusing job posting to 103,000 followers at her personal page:
My office is hiring a new press secretary! If you have a special talent for drafting apologies when your boss inadvertently slips tampon jokes into her press conferences, then this is the job for you! Must have good relationships with media types except for Nolan Finley.
Finley, who heads The Detroit News editorial page, is a noted conservative. Nessel is considered a progressive. We're guessing they don't see eye-to-eye on many issues.
Kelly Rossman-McKinney, Nessel's communications director, did not respond to a text, email and call Saturday for comment.
An email request for comment was emailed Saturday afternoon to Finley's office address. In a tweet late Friday, he wrote:
"Ha. Ok with me. I’m still sitting on a barrel of ink."
