Detroit Tigers rookie Akil Baddoo, 22, is having one of hell of a ride -- and the journey just started.

In the three games he's played this season, he's hit two homers and had a game-winning single.

The first homer came Sunday. He hit one over the fence at Comerica Park against Cleveland on his very first pitch in the majors.

Then in a 15-6 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Monday, he hit a grand slam.

And on Tuesday, he hit a walk-off single in the 10th to win the game against the Twins 4-3. (See video below.)

With eight more Baddoos on the team, Detroit could own the World Series.

“He’s impressive,” Twins manager Rocco Baldelli is quoted as saying. “He’s been fun to watch. More fun if we weren’t playing him, but he’s done a nice job.”
