State Rep. Jewel Jones, a 25-year-old Inkster Democrat, faces charges of drunken driving, resisting arrest and obstructing a police officer in an April 6 accident on I-96 in Livingston County.
Jones had a blood alcohol content of at least 0.17 percent, more than double the legal limit of 0.08 percent, authorities charge.
Jones, the youngest state representative in Michigan history, was jailed overnight following the crash near Fowlerville, police said.
