'Detroit Digest:' Tasty late-night eats for Ramadan in Dearborn

For a month, from April 12 to May 12, observers of Ramadan fast during daylight hours as part of the most sacred month in the Muslim faith. After sundown they break the fast with a hearty meal known as iftar.

Carlos Parisi, host of "Detroit Digest," headed the other night to five popular eating spots in Dearborn, including food trucks, where Ramadan observers came to enjoy community, tradition and an occasion for thankfulness.  (See the video below)

► Albasha Subs: 10626 W Warren Ave. -- Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-2 a.m.; Friday 10 a.m.- 3 a.m.; Saturday 11 a.m.-3 a.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 2:15 a.m. (313.846-9684)

► The Burger Truck: 10000 Michigan Ave. -- Normally 11 a.m.-9 p.m. daily. Extended during Ramadan (313.707.3373).

► Holy Cluck (food truck): 15010 W. Warren Ave. -- 10:30 p.m.-3 a.m. (Or until they sell out)

► Golden Bakery: 14526 W. Warren Ave. -- Normally 5:30 a.m.- 9 p.m. Open 24 hours during Ramadan.

► Midnight Choux: 24700 block of Warren -- Pop-up tent serving desserts for Ramadan.
