The bar announced Friday on Facebook:

It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce we will be closing our doors permanently Sunday evening. Thank you everyone for the many many years of love and support. We hope you can make it out this weekend one last time to enjoy some DJs tonight, bands Saturday and XICW Wresteling Sunday afternoon.

The bar on Hoover Road, south of 10 Mile Road, had been known previously as The Ritz, New York New York and Rhinestone Cowboy.

It was the scene of a 2000 incident in which Eminem was charged with pistol-whipping musician John Guerra after the rapper says he saw Guerra kissing his now-former wife, Kim Mathers, in the parking lot, The Macomb Daily recounts.
