A video obtained by MLive shows a handcuffed man climbing into the front of a Michigan State Police SUV, driving off and running through numerous stop signs with lights flashing.

It started the night of July 12 when a trooper pulled over a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu in Bay City with an invalid license plate. Rockyon Poole, 22, and two passengers were asked to step out.

Poole was cuffed behind his back and placed in the rear seat of the patrol vehicle, the news service reports. The passengers -- a 19-year-old woman and 24-year-man who owned the car-- stood outside the Malibu while the trooper did a search and found glass pipes and Chore Boys, a scouring pad used as a filter for crack pipes.

Meawhile, Poole manipulate the handcuffs so they were in front of him, slipped into the front seat and drove off. A few blocks away, he stopped the vehicle and ran off.

Two days later, a Bay City officer spotted him on a bicycle and arrested him after a struggle, reports MLive, which obtained the dashcam video through a Freedom of Information Act request. Poolde was arraigned last month on eight counts.
