Michigan Reports 3,302 Daily Cases Compared to 571 A Year Ago

How's Michigan faring in the war against Covid?

Not so great if you compare the numbers from a year ago.

On Wednesday, the state reported 3,302 new daily cases for the past two days. That compares to 571 daily cases exactly a year ago. The daily death rate a year ago was 11 compared to 31 daily deaths for these past two days. 

In all, the state has recorded 983,109 Covid cases and 20,597 deaths.

To date, 66.6 percent of residents 16 and over have received at least one vaccine dose and 58.1 peercent are fully vaccinated.
