On an overcast, and intermittently drizzly morning, America's Thanksgiving Parade returned to its rightful place on Woodward Avenue on Thursday after taking a pandemic hiatus last year.
There were the usual floats, but the crowds that lined Midtown and downtown Detroit seemed a little lighter than in the past. Whatever the case, no matter Michigan's scary Covid-19 numbers, tradition resumed with hopes of a better year ahead, and possibly, but not likely, a Lions victory later in the day at Ford Field against the Bears.
