As a baseball manager, Brad Ausmus did OK, not great.
Ausmus, 52, was 313-332 as manager for Detroit from 2014-17, and was 72-90 in his solo season with the Los Angeles in 2019.
Now, he's headed to a lower-profile gig, according to a correspondent at the MLB Network.
Brad Ausmus is expected to be named A’s bench coach. The former Tigers and Angels manager and 18-year MLB catcher brings experience to staff led by new manager Mark Kotsay.
