All Aboard: Detroit People Mover Returns in April with Free Rides

April 01, 2022, 1:06 AM

The pandemic has been unkind to the Detroit People Mover, which has been idle about two years.

Now, the 2.9-mile overhead rail system plans to begin operating again in April and offer free rides for 120 days, Michigan Radio reports.

The stops will have sanitizer stations and trains will be cleaned multiple times a day.

Meanwhile, Detroit's QLine will remain free for the remainder of 2022.
