Flint native Claressa Shields, 29, captured the vacant WBO light heavyweight title and the WBC heavyweight championship Saturday night in the second round with a TKO victory over Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse in downtown Detroit, ESPN Sports reports.

ESPN reports:

Shields (15-0, 3 KOs) moved up to capture a world title in a fourth and fifth weight class in front of a star-studded crowd at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit that included legendary boxing champion Thomas "The Hitman" Hearns.

"The newfound power does feel good," Shields said. "It fucking shocked me. I'm not going to lie."
