The beloved Hunter House Hamburgers at 35075 Woodward in Birmingham is moving about a mile away to the other side of Woodward after 73 years in the same spot.
It will occupy a space formerly used by KFC.
"Beginning November 1, we’ll be flipping sliders at 33900 Woodward Ave., between Adams and Lincoln," the restaurant posted on Facebook. "Our last day at our current location is October 31."
"We’re rebuilding Hunter House exactly as it’s been since 1952, but with more parking and faster service. The grill is coming with us! We’ll see you there!"
The slider joint is moving from 35075 Woodward about one mile south to the east side of the avenue, at 33900 Woodward — the former home of a KFC.
