Democratic Congresswoman Haley Stevens, who is running for U.S. Senate, has announced her latest endorsement — Teamsters Local 243, based in Plymouth.
The local represents thousands of union members in Michigan.

“Congresswoman Haley Stevens has proven time and again that she’s a fighter for working people,” said Scott Quenneville, president of Teamsters Local 243, in a statement. “Within her first six months in Congress, she helped pass the Butch Lewis Act, protecting the pensions of more than 42,000 Michiganders. And today, as our members at Corewell Health fight for fair wages and safe staffing ratios, Haley is standing with us again.”

Meanwhile, Democratic state Sen. Mallory McMorrow, who is also running for Senate, has just received the endorsement of U.S. Sen. Martin Heinrich of New Mexico.

“We need leaders with the energy to fight, the experience to deliver, and the courage to call B.S. when they see it,” Heinrich said in a statement.

"That’s Mallory McMorrow. She has a unique and essential ability to reach people where they’re at, with the kind of forward-looking message that Democrats are all too often lacking. She is perfectly equipped to meet a moment where both message and messenger matter more than ever.”
