Mayor Coleman A. Young in 1975
Detroit in Black and White host Adolph Mongo, who worked for different Detroit mayors and consulted for scores of politicians and political candidates, talks about his decades in the trenches in his upcoming book titled "Front Row Seat."
“I tell some shit. I guess some people are going to be mad at me,” he tells co-hosts Allan Lengel and Jim Nardone.
Mongo tells stories of working for Mayor Coleman A. Young, consulting for Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, and going after Mayor Dennis Archer in columns in the Detroit News.
Mongo said the book is in the editing stages and has yet to be published.
