Video: Downtown Tech Firm Embraces City With 'Love, Detroit' Message

May 30, 2013, 6:46 AM

GalaxE.Solutions, a New Jersey-based information technology consultant with an office overlooking Campus Martius, introduces a "Love, Detroit" promotional campaign with the two-minute video below.

Ann Delisi narrates the presentation from GalaxE.Solutions, a downtown employer.

It's filled with scenes of Comerica Park, Lions tailgating, Riverwalk, Greektown, the Opera House, the Motown Museum, nightclubs, the Nain Rouge parade, the Free Press Marathon, the auto show and other attractions, intercut with personal letter-style messages from Detroit read by WDET music host Ann Delisi.

"Hey, how's it going," the on-screen script begins. "Things here have been amazing. Seriously. Detroit is getting more exciting every day."

The slick, quick-pace storytelling is produced by Skidmore Studio, which moved downtown from Royal Oak in October 2011 and became the M@dison Building's first tenant.

GalaxE's previous slogan, "Outsource to Detroit," is displayed prominently on the side of its local site at 1001 Woodward and was introduced at last year's Mackinac Policy Conference with T-shirts. The new presentation was shown there Wedsnesday evening, according to the Detroit Free Press,  and is part of the "Opportunity Detroit" campaign by civic groups and business leaders.
