In this week's podcast, Deadline Detroit staffers Jeff Wattrick and Lauren Ann Davies talk about a new collection of stories called The Rust Belt Rising Almanac.

Sure, the episode is about a book. But the book is about what makes a rust belt city. How do you define it? What does it feel like?

Book publisher Nic Esposito and musician Todd Henkin try to figure it out, and share their thoughts on Detroit as Philidelphia natives.

Nic says, "Not many cities have to rethink 'why are we a city?'"
