December 19, 2013, 6:17 PM

In a music video that starts with a flight from LA to Detroit -- first class, baby -- hometown singer-songwriter Mike Posner presents "a veritable travelogue of Detroit," as Adam Graham puts it in The Detroit News.

Next stop, Detroit Metro, for the passenger in Seat 3F.

The promo for "Top of the World" includes shots of Big Sean, Nate Burleson, Pavel Datsyuk and the 24-year-old artist's parents, Roberta Henrion and attorney Jon Posner.

The clip, which premiered online Thursday, features footage shot at Ford Field, Joe Louis Arena, the Palace of Auburn Hills, Comerica Park, the “Spirit of Detroit” statue, Lafayette Coney Island, Birmingham Groves High School and at a mural of Posner and Big Sean at Dexter and Waverly.

The song will be on his second album, "Pages," being released in 2014.

Posner was born in Detroit, raised in Southfield and graduated from Groves High in Birmingham.
