The All Around, a bar at 25621 Ecorse Rd. in Taylor, will be the site at noon Thursday of a funeral ceremony for Mr. Lehr, who died Friday. He is lying in state at the bar today until 8 p.m., according to Dave Komer in The News-Herald.

Friends and family built his pine casket with six rope handles after downloading instructions from the Internet.

“He used to say that he wanted to be propped up in the DJ booth, but that booth is long gone. I am showing him right up near the stage," bar owner Dave Karlson told Komer.

Mr. Lehr was a former employee at the All Around, and remained a favorite among customers. He married his wife, Patti, there 17 years ago. He loved Alice Cooper songs and “Kick out the Jams” by the MC5.

The bar's Facebook page says of Mr. Lehr: "All Around brother, friend, angel."
