Born in 1985 in Hong Kong and raised in Canada, Patrick T. Lo is a screenwriter/director and new-media designer based in Toronto.

Lo tells Deadline Detroit he was looking for a good city to visit, and so he came last weekend to Detroit.

"It was on the top of my list," he said, explaining that it was his first visit. He stayed at Hostel Detroit in Corktown, and says he really enjoyed the city.

While here, he filmed a video of the city while aboard the People Mover, using different camera techniques to display different angels. It's entitled "Rising From the Ashes."

"The city has so much history. I see a lot of potential," he said.

Throw back to this beautiful shot of of winter filled Downtown Detroit on Woodward Ave with the QLine. Hopefully soon we can enjoy mass transit in the city once again after this pandemic.
