Ex-MSU and NBA Star Draymond Green Arrested in East Lansing for Assault

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green, 26, who was a star basketball player at Michigan State University, was arrested Sunday on assault charges in East Lansing, Michigan, ESPN reports.

Police told ESPN that Green was arrested at an East Lansing restaurant. The Lansing State Journal reports that the incident happened in the 100 block of East Grand River Avenue in East Lansing at 2:41 a.m. Sunday.

"It was basically an altercation between two guys," police said, according to ESPN. "There's no injuries. He was released with a $200 bond on Sunday."

The team issued a statement saying: 

"At this point, we are collecting information and will have no further comment until we have a better understanding of the situation."
