Piston Andre Drummond Gets Grief for Cheering NY Giants

Detroit fans can be sensitive.

Piston Andre Drummond found that out on Sunday when the Detroit Lions played the New York Giants and he tweeted: "Lets go @Giants !!!!"  

Drummond hails from Mount Vernon, N.Y., a suburb of New York city.

Some fans didn't like that he was rooting for Giants and gave Drummond hell on Twitter. 

He responds: 

Lmaoooo reading my timeline! Y'all seriously wonna talk trash cause I support my hometown! Didn't know it was a crime

Drummond remarks:
@Elannan_14 didn't know the lions paid me that either

Fans bombard Drummond with tweets trashing him for his poor free throwing.

Ben ‏@BenVetter26 tweeted: @AndreDrummond @Giants mad because you're getting paid 127 million to shoot 38% from the free throw line.
