The Detroit Free Press reports that Metro Detroit was the third worst metro area in the country when it comes to disconnected youth -- people 16-24 who are not in school or working.
A report by Sarah Burd-Sharps and Kristen Lewis found that 17 percent of the Metro Detroit area youth were disconnected. Phoenix was the worst and Boston had the best rate.
