Kozy Lounge in Hazel Park Captures Top Prize at Burger Battle Detroit 2019

There's cetainly no shortage of restaurants, fancy ones and dives, that serve hamburgers. So finding the best  isn't easy.

On Sunday, a panel at the Burger Battle Detroit 2019 at Eastern Market gave first-time contestant Kozy Lounge in Hazel Park the top honor for with its concoction of grilled onion, jalapeno, Swiss cheese and bacon, Louis Aguilar of The Detroit News reports. The prize brings $1,000 and a trophy.

The winner, located at 150 E. 10 Mile Rd., posts on Facebook:

And the winner is . . . Kozy Lounge! That was a tough competition!

Congrats to Frita Batidos, Henry Ford Village, American Burger Bar, and Robustos Cigar Bar and Bistro for coming in the top 5!

About 2,000 people attended the event.
