More than 3,000 Palace of Auburn Hills items are up for sale in five categories. Here's when bidding ends:
- July 20 for memorabilia (over 600 items).
- July 31 for stadium equipment and vehicles.
- Aug. 1 for kitchen and concession cooking equipment.
- Aug. 2 for furniture and fixtures.
- Seats with a 3" by 3" commemorative plate are available for immediate purchase at $479 for two until Aug. 2 or when gone.
The Detroit Pistons Foundation shares in the proceeds. There's no shipping, so winners must fetch keepsakes at Auburn Hills arena between Aug. 7 and Sept. 30 during daytime hours.
"This auction will include items that celebrate the great basketball and entertainment moments celebrated inside the historic venue," a release says. "Countless memories were made at The Palace and we want to give fans the prospect of owning a tangible piece of that special history."
