Fraser has settled a sexual harassment lawsuit on behalf of an ousted mayor and a councilman.
The settlement calls for payout of $85,000 each -- or $255,000 total -- to three female employees in connection with alleged workplace harassment and retaliation by former Mayor Joseph Nichols and ex-councilman Matthew Hemelberg, Jameson Cook of The Macomb Daily reports.
Nichols and Hemelberg were removed from office in September 2017.
“The whole situation was a disgrace and uncomfortable for the entire city,” Councilwoman Kathy Blanke tells the paper.
