Sorry, octagenarian single ladies: Dick Purtan is off the market.

The Detroit radio legend, who retired 10 years ago, found love again after losing his longtime spouse, Gail, in 2018, and made it official over the weekend. Purtan wed Donna Hammar in a small ceremony at his Oakland County home, attended by the couple's family and close friends.

Purtan, 83, was on the air for decades, and won generations of fans through his warmth and humor, along with generous philanthropy.

In wedding photos posted on his Facebook fan page, Purtan wears a sharp gray suit and shows off lockdown locks, a slightly shaggy-on-the-sides 'do. Hammar, who changed her name to Donna Purtan, wears a floor-length dress in a rosy beige.

It was a fabulous day - great weather, great food, great music, great people! The only thing that could have made it better would have been a Wedding Night that didn’t require staying 6 ft. away from each other!

To be honest, this is not something I ever imagined happening at this stage of my life (You know, being 49 and all) but I’m so grateful that it did!

As Frank Sinatra sang, "Love is lovelier the second time around." Best wishes to the couple.
