After a hiatus for several months because of the coronavirus, our Detroit TV restaurant show returns.
Host Carlos Parisi visits Detroit 75 Kitchen, a stationary food truck at 4800 W. Fort St. in southwest Detroit. His longtime co-host, Kyle Sammy, has taken off to live in Los Angeles. We'll miss him.
Detroit 75 Kitchen has earned awards over the years, and for good reason. In 2014, the year it began, it was named Detroit’s top food truck by WDIV and Best Business Detroit.
During his visit the other day, Parisi dived into some the Fisher Freeway Fish sandwich, which comes on a toasted bun with sweet pickled onions and house-made Old Bay tartar sauce. He also sampled barbecue chicken egg rolls.
The food truck also serves handcut fries, shrimp po' boys, shawarma, salad, falafel and chicken tenders.
