A gruesome triple homicide at a Detroit Coney Island may have been motivated by a pair of shoes.
Detroit police say the suspect said someone made a comment about his gym shoes that made him feel threatened before he opened fire Sunday at A Eagle's Coney Island on Dexter near Joy Road, WXYZ reports.
Mickey Douglas, 25, is to be arraigned Wednesday for the killing of Carnell Watts, 24; Cortney Willis, 20; and Brian Jackson, 34.
Watts and Willis were stepbrothers. One of their cousins, Branden Mosley, 28, was also shot but survived.
