I never figured out why it took so long for Detroit-style pizza to catch on elsewhere. Now you can find it in Brooklyn, D.C., Chicago, Miami and, yes, Canada.
Carrie Oehm of blogTO, a food and entertainment site, visits Gianna's Patties and Pies on Queen Street West in the Parkdale neighborhood of Toronto, one of a few places in that city with Detroit-style pizza.
