Detroit’s historic Majestic Theatre on Woodward Avenue has been placed on the market, WDIV reports.
The real estate listing, which was posted Thursday, includes nearly the entire block with the Majestic Theatre, Garden Bowl, Alley Deck and Bar, Sgt Pepperoni’s Pizzeria and the Magic Stick Music Venue all in the listing. A price is not listed.
The Majestic Theatre and Magic Stick are both part of the National Independent Venue Association. Michigan members of the NIVA went to Lansing Friday to demand financial assistance amid the Covid-19 pandemic. In May, the organization estimated 90 percent of independent venues nationwide could close down permanently due to Covid-19.
The listing says:
Prime Midtown location makes this an amazing opportunity to be centered in the heart of Detroit’s bright future- right across in the heart of Detroit’s Midtown District! This is a rare Entertainment Opportunity with the Majestic Theatre, Garden Bowl, Alley Deck and Bar, Sgt Pepperoni’s Pizzeria and the Magic Stick Music Venue. ...
The location couldn’t be better with all that surrounds -- the Q-line, Mo-Go bikes and dozens of restaurants, coffee shops, venues, stadiums, casinos and more are within walking distance!
