The spike in Covid cases continues to raise concerns as cold weather sets in.
On Friday, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported 2,015 new cases and 14 deaths -- the second-highest number of cases for one day in the state since the pandemic broke out in March.
On Thursday, the state recorded the highest daily figure with 2,030 cases.
In all, the state has now confirmed 143,106 cases and 6,987 deaths.
State health officials fear a second wave.
