Outspoken Trump critic and actor Jeff Daniels is hoping to help flip his home state with a new ad that draws a contrast between the values of Michiganders and the president.
In the two-minute online video titled "America needs Michigan," Daniels applauds residents who "get the job done" humbly and "take responsibility."
He then aims at Trump:
"Here in Michigan, we don’t believe in paying off porn stars to keep their mouths shut about who we really are. And we don’t think much of a man who disrespects women. In fact, we don’t think he’s much of a man at all.”
The ad is produced by Don Winslow Filmsm, based in California.
