Local bachelorette viewers got more than they bargained for last night when WXYZ accidentally aired mock election results that showed Trump winning Michigan.

The randomly produced results showed a win with a margin of 50-44. The station has apologized, the Free Press reports, saying it was testing its election night system and that the graphics were not meant for air.
All signs suggest it's not a harbinger of things to come. A Detroit News/WDIV poll taken Oct. 23-25 has Trump trailing Biden by 8 percentage points among likely Michigan voters, while an Oct. 20-25 Washington Post/ABC News poll has the president behind by 7 points among this state's likely voters. (Each survey has a 4-point error margin.)
