The coronavirus shows no signs of slowing down in Michigan.
On Thursday, the state recorded 6,940 new cases, setting a new daily record. It also recorded 45 deaths.
Thursday's tally brings the total count in Michigan to 236,225 confirmed cases and 7,811 deaths, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reports.
Last week, the state set a weekly record with 29,614 new cases, surpassing the record of 20,154 the week before.
