Video: 'It's Definitely Going to Hurt' -- Detroit Restaurant Owner on Dining Ban

November 18, 2020, 10:14 PM

Restaurant owners again face the pain of an indoor dining ban as Covid spikes.  A three-week "pause" began Wednesday, but as we saw last time, it could last longer.

Deadline Detroit's Michael Lucido spoke Wednesday to four restaurant owners and managers in downtown Detroit and the New Center area about this latest hit.

"I hope they're only three weeks," George Antonopoulus, owner of the Athens Souvlaki on Fort Street in downtown Detroit, says of the dining ban. "I don't see that happening. It's definitely going to hurt."

The other restaurant owners we spoke to are Grace Keros of American Coney Island, Gabby Milton, executive chef of Lumen Detroit, and Godwin Ihentuge, owner of Yumvillage.
