The ceiling for daily Covid cases in Michigan continues to rise.
On Friday, the state set a new daily record with 9,779 new confirmed diagnoses. It also recorded 53 deaths.
The latest figures bring the total number of cases to 295,177 cases and 8,377 fatalities linked to coronavirus by the state.
Michigan has a fatality rate of 2.9 percent among known cases.
