Michigan Records 17,162 New Covid Cases and 172 Deaths in Past 2 Days

The Covid statistics in Michigan continue to be frightening.

For Thursday and Friday, the state lists 17,162 new cases and 172 deaths, including some earlier fatalities now confirmed as pandemic-related.

Statewide, hospitals have 4,068 confirmed and suspected coronavirus patients.

Health officials fear an additional spike after the Thanksgiving weekend as families and friends gather.

Michigan has recorded 341,941 total cases and 8,933 deaths since March.

The state expoects its first batch of vaccines from Pfizer next month, possibly by Dec. 12.
