Leslie and Patricia McWaters of Jackson were married for 47. And from the get-go, they were inseparable.
So, it might not be so shocking that the couple died from Covid one minute apart on Nov. 24, two days before Thanksgiving, WDIV reports. She was 78, he was 75.
“It’s beautiful, but it’s so tragic. Kind of like Romeo and Juliet,” daughter Joanna Sisk says. “One wouldn’t have wanted to be without the other.”
"They did almost everything together, so it should be no surprise that they went to be with the Lord together within the very same minute," their obit said. "The hospital staff that cared for them, as they lost their battle to Covid, said it was too close to call. They recorded their deaths at the exact same time, Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 4:23 PM. Those of us that know them, know that mom went first and said, 'LD, it’s time to go.'”
Patricia was a surgical nurse and Leslie was a truck driver. They were both retired.
