Michigan added 7,146 cases and 175 deaths related to Covid as the state's hospitals continue to fill.
The death tally on Thursday included 112 identified during a delayed records review.
On Tuesday, Michigan set a daily death record at 190. The previous record was 164 on April 16, but that did not include past fatality additions.
To date, the state has recorded 380,343 Covid cases and 9,580 deaths.
In the past seven days, Michigan has ranked third in the nation in the number of deaths.
