Detroit's Green Dot Stables' Mystery Meat Slider: Camel

The popular Green Dot Stables on West Lafayette Bouklevard at the edge of Corktown is known for its eclectic selection of sliders including pork loin, corned beef, cheeseburgers, Philly cheesesteaks, fried chicken and PBJ. 

But here's something more exotic: Camel meat sliders, served this week as its daily "Mystery Meat" offering.

Les Molnar, executive chef of the InLaws Hospitality group that runs Green Dot in Detroit and Lansing, tells Detroit Free Press food writer Mark Kurlyandchik this is the third time camel has been on the menu since the group turned the old bar into a hip slider joint in 2012.
