Mayor James Fouts
Warren police are looking into fake Facebook and Instagram pages created under Mayor James Fouts' name.
The Macomb Daily reports:
Several residents who have recently commented on the mayor’s Facebook page or spoken in support of him at recent City Council meetings were targeted. The fake account on Facebook used Messenger and asked people to click on a link to collect winnings from Lions Club International. One message asked the resident if she had been able to speak to an agent regarding her winnings yet.
Fouts posted a message on his personal Facebook account warning his followers of the imposter and stating that he had contacted the Warren police.
There's apparently no claim of any theft or other crime.
