Al Roker of NBC's "Today" is coming to sample Detroit coney dogs for his streaming show on Peacock, The Detroit News reports.
First, he'll broadcast live for "Today" on Wednesday from Cullen Plaza along the Detroit Riverfront. Then he'll head to American Coney Island on Lafayette Blvd. and Detroit CMO (Chili Mustard Onions) on Brush Street to tape "Family Style with Al Roker."
It focuses on iconic dishes and family-owned in different regions. American Coney Island is owned by Grace Keros, whose family began operating the restaurant more than 100 years ago. CMO is a vegan coney restaraunt.
