Detroit City Councilman Coleman A. Young II, who took office in January, talks about his freshman year, why the city is behind in getting the recreational cannabis business rolling, why Dan Gilbert's Hudson's project should get the $60 million tax break and other pressing issues.

Young, the 39-year-old son of the late Mayor Coleman A. Young, and former state lawmaker, talks with Deadline Detroit in an interview below.
