No charges will be brought against a Detroit high school basketball coach for shooting two teenagers in self-defense according to a press release by the Wayne County Prosecutors office, WXYZ-TV reports.
On February 1, a 70-year-old male basketball coach shot a 15- and 16-year-old male in the parking lot of Martin Luther King High School after being attacked by the two. Police say the 16-year-old died at the scene.
The coach was escorting two female basketball players to their cars when he was attacked.
Charges will be brought against the 15-year-old accomplice who is currently being detained at the Juvenile Detention Center.
