Crain's Detroit Business has picked the list of "Twenty in Their 20s" rising stars in Southeast Michigan that includes newly minted Detroit City Council member Mary Sheffield and Adam Finkel, who has an investment firm for tech companies.
Crain's writes that these folks "may not have made their first million, but their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit is already contributing to a new energy in Southeast Michigan."
Some of the others on the list include: Michael Evans, 27, senior developer/founder, Loveland Technologies LLC/PishPosh TV, which has done work for Deadline Detroit; Tatiana Grant, 29, president/co-owner, Infused PR & Events/Flash Delivery, Farmington Hills; Bryan Barnhill, 27, chief talent officer, city of Detroit; and Sean Jackson, 25, executive associate, Rock Ventures, Detroit.
An event to celebrate the honorees is set for Thursday, June 12, at 5 p.m. at The Garden Theater, 3929 Woodward in Detroit. Tickets are available to the public.
