At this point, don't be surprised by any craziness and twists and turns in the Bob Bashara case.

The latest: The attorney for Joe Gentz, the man charged with killing Bashara's wife Jane earlier this year, has filed a motion asking that Bashara's attorney be held in contempt of court.

Attorney Susan Reed wants Bashara attorney David Griem (pictured here) held in contempt for filing unauthorized subpoenas for the work records of her client Gentz.

Bashara was charged last week with trying to put a hit out on Gentz, who claims he killed Bashara's wife at the direction of Bashara.

Bashara allegedly offered someone initially $20,000 to arrange a hit of Gentz in the Wayne County Jail, sources have told Deadline Detroit. The offer was later upped to $24,000, according to law enforcement sources.

Bashara put down $2,000 to a man who ended up wearing a recording device for law enforcement authorities.
Bashara has not been charged in his wife's death, though he remains a suspect in the case. -- A.L.
