Windsor Gets Low Grade for Attracting Newcomers

Our neighbor across the river has a problem attracting residents.

Windsor gets a D grade in a report addressing how ell cities do in drawing newcomers. It's among 13 Canadian cities at the bottom of the rankings in a report by the Conference Board of Canada, The Windsor Star reports.

High-ranked cities are Waterloo, Calgary, Ottawa, Richmond Hill, Vancouver and St. John’s, the study says.

“Attracting skilled workers is crucial to Canada’s competitiveness. Cities that fail to attract new people will struggle to stay prosperous and vibrant,” says Alan Arcand of the Centre for Municipal Studies, according to  The Star.
