Some folks won't be sad to see Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr leave town.
Gov. Rick Snyder accepted his letter of resignation letter Tuesday, Fox 2 and other media report. Detroit exits bankruptcy on Wednesday.
Orr has controlled the city's finances since March 2013.
Fox 2 writes on its website:
Today in a letter to the governor, Orr says the city has taken significant steps to restructure its finances and will no longer be in a financial emergency when it officially gets out of bankruptcy.
Snyder agreed with Orr's assessment and officially issued a notice of termination.
